Vice President's Visit to Nottingham Trent University

 

Vice President of Lingnan University, Professor Joshua Ka Ho Mok was invited by School of Social Sciences, Nottingham Trent University to give a talk to their PhD students about his research project on a title:"Methodological Reflections on Studying Hong Kong Non-Governmental Welfare Organizations Service Delivery in China" on 9 April 2018.  Professor Mok shared his research experiences after conducting field research in China for the said project funded by public policy research grant of the HKSAR Government. 

 

During his visit, Professor Mok met Dean Kathie Moore and discussed with her colleagues from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), being named as the Winner University of 2018, student exchange for taught master and PhD students.  Dr Jason Pandya-Wood, Dr Johnathan Garry, and Dr Linda Gibson from NTU are very keen to develop dual master and professional doctorate, and PhD degrees with Lingnan University, especially when both universities have placed significant emphasis on enhancing student experiential learning. 

 

Sharing a similar educational philosophy, both universities will explore more collaboration to promote student mobility and staff research.
