School of Graduate Studies launches Master of Housing Policy and Management

This new Master programmes combines theory and practice and put particular focus on the use of smart technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and performance. Students will be expected to complete nine core courses and electives, including a capstone project on a housing-related topic like government intervention in housing markets, for a total for 30 credits.

Lingnan University is ranked Second in "Quality Education" globally by the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2023. The rankings, which reflect the extent universities deliver the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are compiled from data submitted by over 1,705 universities from 115 countries or regions. Lingnan University’s Academic Strengths receive international recognition

Lingnan University has received remarkable results of the recently released QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. Social Policy and Administration has leaped 50 places, and is not ranked 3rd in Hong Kong, 7th in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and 15th in Asia. Philosophy has moved up to 2nd in Hong Kong, and is ranked 15th in Asia. Sociology and Economics are now included in the QS Subject Rankings.

This new Master programme focuses on applying mature technology and creative business models to develop innovative solutions for tackling global challenges faced by urban and rural communities. Entrepreneurial leaders with technical insights and creative problem-solving skills are broadly needed in all industries. By combining humanitarian technology and inclusive business strategies, HTIB graduates will take an evidence-based approach to develop socially viable, commercially scalable, and environmentally sustainable products and services to improve the human condition.

School of Graduate Studies launches new Concentration in Art and Design for Social Impact

For students who want to make a positive impact on society, the Master of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management will launch a new Concentration in Art and Design for Social Impact in September 2023. Students will learn how to innovate and create new business models within the creative industries to lead social impact. Classes will mainly be taught at Lingnan University’s new M+ teaching venue in the West Kowloon Cultural District, allowing students to be at the centre of cultural innovation in Hong Kong.

To help meet the resulting demand for graduates with the skills required to ensure coordinated, effective and accountable administration, Lingnan University is launching its new MSc in Comparative Public Administration programme in September 2023. Students will analyse development, public policy and governance issues, from comparative and international perspectives. They will have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning through their interaction with renowned scholars at international symposium and conferences.

This one-year, full-time, or two-year, part-time, interdisciplinary programme will equip current and aspiring health service managers and coordinators with data-driven management knowledge and skills. Working in collaboration, Lingnan's Faculty of Business and its School of Graduate Studies have developed a curriculum which integrates theories and methods of healthcare and operations management, with the use of a variety of data analysis and modelling tools.
