Prof. Anthony Neoh is a Senior Counsel who has made tremendous contributions in many areas such as constructing the financial regulatory frameworks of the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, and developing Hong Kong's international arbitration services.  Prof. Neoh has held important leadership positions over the years including the Chairman for the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the first Asian elected to be the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions, and the Chief Advisor to the China Securities Regulatory Commission.  He also served on other public boards and committees like the Hong Kong SAR Basic Law Committee and the Panel of Conciliators and Arbitrators of the World Bank's International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes.
 
Prof. Neoh was awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws by The Chinese University of Hong Kong as well as the Honorary Degrees of Doctor of Social Sciences by The Open University of Hong Kong and Lingnan University respectively. He has shown continuing support and passion for education and has held various adjunct, honorary and visiting professorial appointments in renowned universities including Harvard University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, the National University of Singapore, Zhejiang University, and Zhongshan University.
 
Prof. Neoh has been serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Board for our MSc. in International Banking and Finance (MIBF) Programme since 2012. He also served as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of our BSocSc (Hons) Programme in 2010's. Prof. Neoh has been very supportive of our MIBF Programme that he not only finds time to deliver guest lectures to our students every year, but also contributes for the “Anthony Neoh Scholarship” which is designated for excellent MIBF students.  He always cherishes the opportunities to interact with our students and graduates that when he comes for meetings he would always spare extra time to meet with them.  In addition, Prof. Neoh has provided tremendous input and connections to our Department.
