Courses offered in the Department of Economics provide challenge to the mind that you can handle!
Although the courses offered by the Economics Department challenge your analytical mind, they are generally neither technical nor mathematical. The majority of courses offered by the Economics Department use little or no mathematics. Perhaps the most "mathematical" courses offered by the Economics Department are intermediate microeconomics and intermediate macroeconomics. However, a logical mind is more important than a mathematical mind even in these courses. For most of the other courses, there is never a need to work out mathematical problems. Even for econometrics, the emphasis is on application and interpretation, and not on the mathematics or the technical aspects of the tool.
Are you prepared to accept the challenge of our courses? We offer you a methodology of wide application and show you how the methodology can be used to analyze a full range of interesting social and economic phenomena, issues and policies.
