Internship Opportunity: Wofoo Social Enterprises

Dear Students in Economics Major,
 
The Faculty Dean liaised with Wofoo Social Enterprises (http://www.wse.hk/zh/) earlier and obtained internship opportunities for Social Sciences students.  Wofoo agreed to provide 1) two summer internship places starting from late-July and 2) two interns for each semester in the coming academic year.  The Faculty Office is now asking each of four academic departments to nominate up to 5 non-final year students in undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes in total for consideration by Wofoo.
 
Refer to the information provided by the Faculty Office, successful intern candidates will be subsided with travel allowance:
Travel allowance for each summer intern is $5,000 and that for each regular-term intern is $800.
 
If you are interested to participate at this internship, please submit an application by email ([email protected]) on or before Friday, 3 July 2020 by noon:
·         your application with supporting documents (if any);
·         your availability (such as summer holiday / Mid July – Early Sept / Sept – Nov / Term 2);
  
Please note that the HoD will select the best 5 applications for nominations.  Then, the responsible staff of the Faculty Office may contact you for the further arrangements about the application accordingly.

Internship provided by Wofoo Social Enterprises:
 
  1. Two summer internships are confirmed. Proposed starting date on 27 July.
 
Working Venue:  Wofoo Commercial Building, 574-576 Nathan Road, Kowloon, HKSAR
Working Hour:  9:00 -18:00 (one hour lunch)
Work Duty:
1. Assist in Research and Administration work
2. Supporting development work of Wellness Hub
3. Ad hoc duties as assigned
 
  1. Regular internships from the coming academic year
Internship Working information
- 2 interns for each semester
- Duration within two months
- Two Days per week
 
Suggested timeframe
1st round:  Mid July – Early Sept 2020
2nd round: Sept – Nov 2020
