Faculty of Business Achieves Outstanding Results in the RGC’s 2022-23 General Research Fund (GRF)

The Faculty of Business is very excited to announce that our Faculty has achieved outstanding results in the Research Grants Council’s 2022-23 General Research Fund (GRF). For the GRF, the Faculty submitted twenty-two applications to the Business Studies Panel—twelve out of the twenty-two submissions were successfully funded. The success rate of 54.5% is the highest in the Faculty’s history.

For the Early Career Scheme (ECS), the Faculty successfully secured one grant. In total, the Faculty received over 5 million HKD from the Research Grants Council. The results of the 2022-23 GRF and ECS mark a milestone achievement for the Faculty. The Faculty of Business will continue to encourage its faculty members to meet and exceed their research goals and we hope for even better results in next year’s GRF and ECS!

Additionally, Lingnan University’s success rate for the GRF submissions to the Business Studies Panel ranks second among the eight public universities in Hong Kong, a clear indicator of Lingnan University’s research strength. Please see the table below for further details.

The Research Grants Council is a part of the University Grants Committee, a non-statutory advisory committee responsible for counselling the SAR Government of Hong Kong on the financing and expansion needs of its higher education institutions.
