Faculty of Business (LUFB) and SW Hong Kong signed Memorandum of Understanding to Deepen the Strategic Partnership between Academia and Industry


On 4 November 2022, the Faculty of Business, Lingnan University (LUFB) and SW Hong Kong signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to deepen the strategic partnership between academia and industry.

The MOU was signed by Prof Nancy Chen, Associate Dean (Research and Postgraduate Studies) of LUFB and Mr Roy Lo, the Managing Partner of SW Hong Kong. Prof Shi Shanshan, Associate Professor of Teaching, Director of Taught Postgraduate Programmes Office of LUFB and Ms Gloria So, Director of SW Institute of Knowledge Enhancement Limited (SWiKen), also attended the signing ceremony.

In accordance with the MOU, LUFB and SW Hong Kong pledged to establish the framework for collaborative efforts in attracting diverse talents and facilitating students’ career development. The MOU symbolized a new chapter in deepening strategic collaboration between the parties fostering knowledge sharing and industry networking.

Prof Nancy Chen remarked, “As a top liberal arts university with a long history in Asia, Lingnan University is continuously committed to delivering high-quality and whole-person education service in the liberal arts setting. We are honoured to collaborate with SW Hong Kong in grooming future business leaders. Under the partnership, our students could equip themselves with practical knowledge and skills from the latest industry insights and career opportunities provided by SW.”

“SW Hong Kong has devoted all efforts to linking with different institutes and business partners in Hong Kong and Mainland China to develop a sustainable education-business ecosystem,” commented by Mr Roy Lo, the Managing Partner of SW Hong Kong. He continued, “it is our common goal to strengthen the collaboration and nurture the next generation of professional talents by offering comprehensive expert support and practical opportunities to the students of LUFB and fostering mutual exchanges for the collective benefits of the business community.”
