Pre-entry Course Applicants with no or limited background in information systems management and statistics will be required to complete pre-entry courses, Information Systems Management and Statistics, in August prior to the start of this master's programme.

  • Local students: HKD163,000 per programme
  • Non-local students: HKD163,000 per programme

Curriculum

Students are required to complete 10 modules in one year of study. Each module bears three credits.

Core Courses (Six courses):
  1. CDS501 Fundamentals of Electronic Business
  2. CDS502 Supply Chain Management in eBusiness
  3. CDS503 Accounting and Financial Technology
  4. CDS504 Business Data Analytics
  5. CDS505 Mobile Technology and Applications in eBusiness
  6. CDS506 Best Practices in eBusiness and Supply Chain Management

Elective Courses* (Any four):
  1. CDS507 Legal Issues for eBusiness
  2. CDS508 Electronic Marketing
  3. CDS509 E-Commerce Implementation: Planning, Platform Selection, and Execution
  4. CDS510 Social Media for eBusiness
  5. CDS511 Project Management with Software
  6. CDS512 Service Operations Management
  7. CDS513 Purchasing and Logistics Management for eBusiness
  8. CDS514 Information Systems Management
  9. CDS515 Business Decision Making with Software

* The offering of elective courses is subject to sufficient demand and faculty availability.

Admission Requirements

1. General Qualifications

  • An applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree with a first class or second class honours from a recognized tertiary institution or have equivalent experiences and qualifications, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

2. Language Requirements

  • An applicant whose degree is not from a tertiary institution in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country should obtain:
  • a minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer- based test) or 79 (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or
  • a band score of 6.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
  • Applicants who do not fulfil the above language requirements but have an equivalent score in a recognized test, or an equivalent qualification assessment to prove their language proficiency may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Note:

  • Applicants who have graduated from a university using English as a main teaching language do not normally need to present evidence of their proficiency.
  • Applicants with no or limited background in information systems management and statistics will be required to complete pre-entry courses, Information Systems Management and Statistics, in August prior to the start of this master's programme.
