Mr. Au is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Finance and Insurance, Lingnan University, Hong Kong. He is currently the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Alphalex Capital, a licensed asset management firm running hedge fund strategies. He has over 25 years of experience in finance and portfolio management. He specializes in long/short equity trading as well as fixed income investment. He is also the co-Founder of Digital Asset Society of Hong Kong, an NGO promoting blockchain technology and digital asset investment. Before joining the hedge fund industry in 2004, Mr. Au worked for international investment banks to manage their proprietary trading books. Mr. Au is a Chartered Financial Analyst and also a US Certified Public Accountant.
