Professor Wei obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance with First Class Honors from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 and completed her PhD in Finance from the University of Hong Kong in 2016. She is a life-time member of Beta Gama Sigma Business Society. She is a research fellow at the Centre for Financial Innovation and Development in the University of Hong Kong. She has also been providing consultancy for financial institutions and think tanks in Mainland China and Hong Kong. Her research interests are in corporate finance, financial reporting, capital market regulations and corporate innovation. Her studies on innovation have important implications for the economic transformation in China. Her papers have been presented in conferences including American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting and Financial Management Association (FMA) Annual Meeting, circulated as the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) working paper, and featured on Harvard Law School Corporate Governance Forum.
