Professor Mok's invited presentation at The 2020 International Conference on Gerontechnology (ICG 2020) organized by the Open University of Hong Kong

Professor Mok Ka Ho and the team of LU gerontechnology and smart ageing project team (the Project Team) were invited by the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) to present at the conference entitled "The 2020 International Conference on Gerontechnology (ICG 2020)", on 27 November 2020. The event was held from 25 November to 27 November online and aimed to foster the development of Gerontechnology in Hong Kong by presenting the most recent innovations and latest technology through a series of seminars, talks and workshops. It also served as an interdisciplinary platform for both local and international stakeholders, including academics, physicians, nurses, physiotherapists and paramedical personnel, to present the latest technological developments as well as to share the experiences on implementing the technology in real situations.
Professor Mok shared the topic of "Preparing Gerontechnology Ambassadors through a Knowledge Transfer Model: The Lingnan University's Approach" at a workshop. The Project Team, together with the ambassadors, also shared the knowledge transfer model of Lingnan and experiences of organizing the Gerontechnology Practitioner Training Course. The two ambassadors, Mr. Fai Wong and Mrs. Nancy Ling-Tang, also shared their views on the Gerontechnology and the impact on the ageing society. A Service-Learning student, Mr. Louis Zhou, shared his practical experiences in SOC3203 Social Gerontology this semester. In the interactive session, the team also explored new insights on how youth can help to bridge the generations on the development of user-friendly technologies.
