LU team shared the impact of technological innovation at the “NTWC Medical Social Collaboration Symposium 2022”

 

Lingnan University was invited to participate at the NTWC Medical Social Collaboration Symposium 2022 on 29 November 2022 (Tuesday) and 3 December 2022 (Saturday). The theme of the Symposium was “Learning from Post-COVID Conditions to Enhance Network Resilience”, which aims to provide a platform for medical staff, community partners and students to:

  1. promulgate and foster medical social collaboration and capacity building among different stakeholders
  2. share knowledge and experience in clinical advances and approaches to modern healthcare / social service and facilitates exploration and discussion of contemporary concepts among professionals and stakeholders

 

The Vice-President, Professor MOK Ka Ho, was invited to be the officiating guest and also the speaker to deliver the speech on “Supporting Post-covid Recovery with Technology” on 29 November 2022 (Tuesday), which was the 1st Day of the Symposium. Professor MOK has highlighted the messages of humanitarian technology and reflected on how human needs are met in technological development. Ms. Chloe SIU, Project Manager from the Institute of Policy Studies, also delivered a topic on “Implication of Gerontechnology: Small technology? Great help?” on 3 December 2022 (Saturday). Different cases of using elder care technology in daily interaction amid the pandemic have brought concrete improvements and have contributed directly to the Gerontechnology development in Hong Kong.
