Embracing Ageing - Health Management and Promotion Programme (EAHMP)

Institute of Policy Studies, Lingnan University, is awarded by Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation to implement the Embracing Ageing – Health Management and Promotion Programme, which aims to facilitate intergenerational communication and promote a healthy ageing community.

From April 2021 to March 2024

Institute of Policy Studies, Lingnan University is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust Fund to implement the "LU Jockey Club Health and Financial Education Programme for Elderly" from 2021 to 2024 to promote "Active Ageing". The programme is to organise two training courses, "Consumption Education and Health Planning" and "Wealth Management and Health Planning", for the elderly in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, and Tin Shui Wai districts. It aims to improve their health and financial literacy, and through interaction with student volunteers, to achieve intergenerational harmony.

Gerontechnology 360° Education
樂齡科技360°專才培育計劃

From August 2021 to July 2023

Funded by the Quality Education Fund, Lingnan University collaborates with the eight secondary schools for a two-year project – ‘Gerontechnology 360° Education’, which aims to offer a three-phase life-wide experiential learning experience to secondary school students. They would be trained up as community leaders and equipped with Gerontechnology knowledge and practice. The project also emphasises on intergeneration collaboration aims to promote the values education of young people and inspire them to rethink the relationship between Gerontechnology and intergenerational solidarity.

Youth Engagement Programme on MTR New Railway Projects
Partnering with MTR Corporation Limited
From December 2022 to February 2023

MTR Corporation Limited is embarking on new railway projects (Tung Chung Line Extension (TUE) & Tuen Mun South Extension (TME) and collaboration with Lingnan University on a Youth Ambassador Programme. Lingnan University students are recruited as ambassadors and to promote the MTR new railway projects. After training provided by the MTR Corporation and Lingnan University on project information and presentation skills, student ambassadors will reach out to the primary and secondary schools in Tuen Mun and Tung Chung, and to build up their leadership skills and cultivate their sense of responsibility towards the community.
