Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Public Management and Smart Governance

The courses seek to build a solid foundation in public management and smart governance and leadership for future leaders. Students will be required to complete 14 courses (42 credits) as listed below. There are 5 core courses and 5 public management and smart governance courses. Students must also complete 4 compulsory experiential learning courses.

 

Students are expected to take the core courses alongside the public management and smart governance courses. They must take experiential learning courses to meet the requirements for the programme.

 

Core Courses (Five Courses in All)

  2. Principle of Data Analytic 
  3. Public Management: Comparative Perspectives
  4. Government, Law and Society
  5. Engaging Media and Public Communication

 

Public Management and Smart Governance courses (Five Courses in All)

  1. Managing Public Organizations 
  2. Managing Finance and Public Budgeting 
  3. GIS and Managing Smart City
  4. Data Analytic and Strategic Management
  5. Gernotechology and Managing Ageing Society

 

Experiential Learning Courses (Compulsory)

  1. Residential for Public Management
  2. Workshop for Smart Governance
  3. International Symposium for Public Management and Urban Governance
  4. Public Management and Smart Governance Project
