Networked Disk Storage

Saving files on network is a convenient way to store your files and share files among users. After login, staff can save files on the Windows file server while students can now save on the new OneDrive service. There is quota limitation to ensure a fair use of computing storage and not overwhelming the computing resources. Users can always easily check how much network disk space they are using.

Network Drives and Quota

After login, staff and students get the following drive letters connecting to the network file servers.

For staff

 H:  Your Network Home Folder (500MB quota space for each user)
 S:  Common share drive for departments

For students

 H:  1TB (including 50GB for email)

Checking Quota

Staff and students use different ways to check network H: drive quota as below:

For staff

You can check the network H: drive quota by right-clicking the H: drive icon in My Computer and then click "Properties" from the pop-up menu.

For students

1. After logging in WebMail, click the "menu" button at the top left corner and then click "OneDrive".

2. Click Office 365 settings and then "Site settings".
