ITSC

Obtain ITPOC Approval page

 
  1. The sponsoring department will appoint a representative or representatives to work with its liaison from ITSC to write up the business case.
  2. The representative(s) and his/her ITSC liaison will present the proposal, answer questions and request approval from the ITPOC.
  3. Following the presentation of the proposal by the representative/s, the ITPOC will review the proposal and assign one of two categories: “Required”, or “Not Recommended”.
  4. If the proposed project, software enhancements or consulting work is determined by the Committee to be “Required”, a priority of 1st, 2nd or 3rd will be set to facilitate the ITSC’s implementation.
    If the proposal does NOT have a funding source, the proposal must be sent to the TLIS Management Board for budget consideration. If the TLIS Management Board does not support the funding request, the proposed project will not be considered further and the responsible department must re-evaluate alternatives, including whether the functionality should not be provided at the current time.
  5. If the proposed project, software enhancements or consulting work is “Not recommended” by the ITPOC, the proposal will not be considered further and the responsible department must re-evaluate the alternatives, including whether the functionality should not be provided at this current time. 
  6. When funding is identified and available for the proposed project, the proposal may move into the normal acquisition and implementation process.
