1. PLEASE changing all the "slow" computers in BU, SO building's computing rooms!  2. Please noticing the behavior of long time taking the seat by placing some belongings in it in computer rooms.  3. 1. According to the PC replacement cycle, computers would be replaced for every 4 years.  The operating systems in computer laboratories were upgraded to Windows 7 with better performance in summer 2011.
2. Notices are posted and users are suggested not to occupy empty seats by placing their personal belongings in the workstation areas.  ITSC is working closely with CO and teh Security Office to perform the clearance of unattended belongings.
3. CO has carried out checking for the defective chairs and furniture in computer rooms.

The ITSC's printers usually having some errors when printing that hinder our convenient.  I suggest the ITSC staff to check the printer more frequent in order to ensure those printers are in service and workable.      Besides, the library printing service is quite good that there are many printers for us to use.

Printers and computers are usually found out of order during peak seasons (e.g. pre-examination period) due to high usage.  It will normally take one or two working days for problem fixing and parts replacement.  In order to maintain printing serivce for users, at least one printer are guaranteed to be operated in normal condition in each computer laboratory.

Since the replacement of four new printers equipped with Octopus payment system, the above matter has been alleviated.  Efforts will be continuously made by ITSC to ensure the availability of printing and coputing service during peak seasons.

Two-sided printer should replace the single-sided printer.

The new printers equipped with Octopus payment system have been installed with duplex-printing function.
