Followings are the summaries of user comments and immediate actions taken by ITSC.

What are the problems you have experienced that require ITSC to take immediate actions for improvement?

SEK G02 printers always jam paper Printers in SEKG02 may experience printing errors due to its geometric location where high humidity was observed. ITSC is working closely with the printer vendor to resolve the issue. Various workarounds are under consideration.
At the moment, ITSC will closely monitor the printer status, and student helpers will check the printer periodically, fix any issues and refill paper as soon as possible.
Users can always contact ITSC through our hotline during office hours for immediate help.
The speed of response--when students sent mails to ask for help, ITSC shall give a immediate help since the telephone network is always in busy situation. ITSC tries to respond to all enquiries as soon as possible. Students may visit our service counter at MB203 directly for instant help.

IC printers always break down ITSC monitors the status of the printers in the computer labs closely. For the printers located in the library, users can contact any staff at Information Common (1/F) or the circulation counter for help.

Increase WIFI coverage around the campus, increase WIFI speed and stability in the hostel The existing Campus Wi-Fi system has been used for many years. The Campus Wi-Fi coverage will be improved in the upcoming Wi-Fi revamping project in 2015/16.
ITSC has visited student hostels and located some points with weak Wi-Fi signal. ITSC has proposed to the Hostel Committee to acquire some compact Wi-Fi Access Points for deployment at such locations.
Wifi availability and speed Printers in SEK study room need to keep working ITSC will conduct on-site check and perform the troubleshooting in SEK Study Room for the Wi-Fi service.

more courses offered on the advanced use of Microsoft Office, word, and especially the excel, only a few timeslot are available, the skills could be related  to the job ITSC offers advanced courses for individual Microsoft office products each semester.

For discount on other IT related products, IT resellers could always contact CO for renting a promotion booth for product sales.

the room booking system could be more user friendly ,providing which timeslot is available In consideration of the convenience of the room booking service, we are working on a system prototype with an enhanced "express" booking function to show the availability of the rooms for selection upon the input of the specified venue type, room size, date and time.

add drop system should not ban student for over 24 hours in the add drop period For security reasons, the portal system is required to maintain a mechanism to protect user accounts from bullforce attack. When a bullforce attack is detected (e.g., a large number of failed login attempts), accounts will be locked to protect from further attacks.
Students can always contact ITSC by calling our service hotline or sending emails to have their account unlocked.
Why it takes much longer time to access the moodle or webmail at my home. This problem is really ignoring. Also at hostel, the wifi always disconnect or asked me enter the password again and again! For webmail, students are directly accessing the Office 365 webmail which is located on Microsoft public cloud platform. If the Internet speed is fast enough, the webmail performance should have no difference between on campus or at home.
