LU joins GBA language alliance to foster academic collaboration and research applications
On 28 December 2022, the Alliance for Construction of Language Life and Language Service in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was officially launched online in Guangzhou.
LU Prof Li Donghui, Associate Vice-President (Student Affairs) and Head of the Chinese Language Education and Assessment Centre, and Dr Li Fei, Coordinator of Chinese Digital Learning, have been invited to join the Alliance.
Organised and administered by the National Language Service and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Language Research Centre, a scientific research institution of the Department of Language Information Management responsible to the Ministry of Education of The People’s Republic of China, the Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and Guangzhou University, the Alliance supports academic research and collaboration with 33 education and scientific research institutions and technology corporations in language studies in the GBA, including Lingnan University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
LU is determined foster academic research and social applications with the alliance members in language education, language services, the language industry, digital technology in language, and artificial intelligence to drive the development of the Greater Bay Area.
