Two final-year undergraduates receive prestigious scholarships

Two Lingnan undergraduates have won prestigious scholarships in keen competition among local university students.

 

Aaron Cheuk Hiu-fung, final-year student of BBA-Marketing, has been awarded Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarships 2022/23, one of only six recipients in all Hong Kong tertiary institutions.

 

“Studying at Lingnan equips me with essential hard skills in marketing and data analytics, as well as soft skills in business communication and understanding of consumer behaviour to become a future leader in the marketing industry,” said Aaron, who won Best Future Business Leader Award at CGMA Global Business Challenge 2022 (North Asia) six months ago.

Year-4 Translation student Anson Yu On-sang has received the For Our Future Scholarship 2022 from the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation. She regards it as a recognition of her passion for the betterment of society, acknowledging Lingnan’s contribution to shaping her better self.

 

Anson was the winner of JCI City Hong Kong Outstanding Tertiary Students and Wen Wei Po Future Star Scholarships last year.

Both scholarships recognise and encourage academically excellent local tertiary students with diverse potential and a strong commitment to the community. Aaron and Anson will receive cash awards of HK$40,000 and HK$50,000 respectively.
