Outstanding staff members honoured for their teaching and service performance

Lingnan University honoured outstanding staff members for their teaching and service performance at the Teaching Excellence and Outstanding Service Awards Presentation Ceremony 2015/16 held on 2 November.

 

The awards were presented under two schemes, namely the Teaching Excellence Awards Scheme and the Dr and Mrs James Tak Wu Awards for Outstanding Service (Staff Award).  Awards under both schemes were presented on a biennial basis.

 

Objective of the Teaching Excellence Awards Scheme is to recognise and reward academic colleagues who have demonstrated outstanding performance in teaching. On the other hand, the Dr and Mrs James Tak Wu Awards for Outstanding Service (Staff Award) aims to recognise and reward staff members who have consistently demonstrated outstanding service to the University or community.

 

This year’s awardees under the Teaching Excellence Awards Scheme are as follows:

Prof Elizabeth Ho Hung-lam, Associate Professor, Department of English

Prof Ada Wong Hiu-kan, Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing and International Business

 

Outstanding Teaching Award for Early Career Faculty

Prof Chiu Wai-wai, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy

 

Certificates of Merit

Prof Chang Nam-fung, Professor, Department of Translation

Dr Siu Yan-ho, Lecturer, Department of Chinese

 

Two awards were presented under the Dr and Mrs James Tak Wu Awards for Outstanding Service (Staff Award):
