Faculty of Business organises BBA Taiwan Study Tour 2017

A group of 20 BBA undergraduate students joined the “BBA Taiwan Study Tour 2017” organised and sponsored by the Faculty of Business.  The 4-day study tour from 3 to 6 January was led by Prof Yeung Wing-lok, Associate Director of Undergraduate Business Programmes.  It aims to widen students’ horizons on the study environment and business development in Taiwan, and allow them to observe real life business operations.

During the study tour, the delegation visited National Chiao Tung University and attended an MBA class on “Supply Chain and Operations Management: A Global Viewpoint” at Fu Jen Catholic University.  The visit provided students with unique opportunities to interact and exchange ideas with the local professors and students.

The delegation also visited a number of prominent corporations in Taiwan, including Taiwan Stock Exchange, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, Hsinchu Science Park Bureau and Hop Lion Feather Works Corporation.  Through a wide variety of interactive activities during the visits, students were able to observe and understand the function, daily operation and development strategies of the corporations.

With an integration of theoretical knowledge and practical business applications, the study tour was a fruitful and valuable learning experience for the students.
