Yuen Long District Council visit strengthens community ties

To strengthen its ties with the local community, the University arranged a campus visit for members of the Yuen Long District Council on 13 January.  About 20 Yuen Long District Councillors and representatives from Yuen Long District Office joined the visit, including the Chairman of Yuen Long District Council Mr Shum Ho-kit, Yuen Long District Officer Mr Edward Mak and Assistant District Officer Ms Carren Mak.

President Leonard K Cheng introduced to the visitors the uniqueness of Lingnan’s liberal arts education, student achievements, community engagements and vibrant strategic plan.  To better understand Lingnan’s student-centred teaching, colourful hostel life, internationalised learning environment and involvement in community services, the guests also paid a visit to the student hostel The Jockey Club New Hall, and met with the University’s senior management and representatives from the Student Services Centre and Office of Communications and Public Affairs.
