Lingnan jointly organises seminar for Mainland’s minority nationalities

In collaboration with the Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation, Lingnan’s Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies (HKIBS) organised “The 11th Seminar for the Representatives of the Minority Nationalities Autonomous Prefectures in China” from 17 to 28 August.  

 

The two-week programme was conducted for a group of 37 representatives from 23 provinces, cities or counties of Beijing, Gansu, Guangxi, Guangzhou, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Hunan, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Liaoning, Ningxia, Qiannan, Qinghai, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Tibet, Tianjin, Xinjiang and Yunnan in Mainland China.  The training programme aims at sharing Hong Kong’s experience of economic development with the participants.  Speakers from government departments, business and academic fields in Hong Kong gave lectures on the local economy, finance, law and politics, education system and environmental protection.  As part of the training programme, participants also visited the Civil Service Bureau, Hong Kong Productivity Council, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption, Legislative Council and The Hong Kong Council of Social Service to learn more about the functions and operations of these organisations.
