Issue No. 73 Nov 2017
The Thanksgiving Dinner 2017 was held on 16 November at Sin Cho Ming Function Hall. More than 300 students and staff joined the dinner and celebrated the Thanksgiving Day together.
The Thanksgiving Dinner is a popular annual event jointly organised by the Student Services Centre, ten Warden’s Offices and Chaplain’s Office. It is well appreciated by students and staff members, who can learn the history and experience the festive atmosphere on Lingnan’s multicultural campus.
The event began with an introduction on the origin of the Thanksgiving Day, followed by a fantastic singing performance by the Music Society. Participants tasted the traditional dishes of the Thanksgiving celebration such as turkey and cranberry sauces, and enjoyed a relaxing and joyful evening.
