Prof Siu Oi-ling gives public talk on work stress management

Prof Siu Oi-ling, Professor and Head of Department of Applied Psychology delivered a public talk “Work Stress Management: The Role of Trait-like and State-like Personality as a Stress Moderator” for the Occupational Safety and Health Council on 17 May.

 

In view of the potential significant threats emerged from work stress in modern life, Prof Siu’s talk addressed the impact of personality traits on feelings, reactions and associated behaviours to stress, and how to identify effective practices on dealing with work stress through understanding personality traits.  The seminar was well-received by around 250 workers from different occupational groups.
