Lingnan University actively and regularly engages with local and international partners to organise seminars, symposia, dialogues, conferences and workshops to promote SDGs 1, 4, 10 and 11.
Titled “Education and SDGs: Promoting Quality Education for All,” the conference addressed various topics relevant to sustainability education and inclusive education for all in different national contexts.
Lingnan University and Cyberport co-organised the “Health Tech Start-up Webinar Series: Technology, Health, and Service”, offering scholars, students, practitioners and the public a comprehensive and multilateral view of the latest developments in the health-tech start up industry, and its entrepreneurial outlook in Hong Kong.
Run by the School of Graduate Studies and the Institute of Policy Studies, the webinar series was a direct response to the growing demand for healthcare services, professionals and policies in Hong Kong due to its ageing population and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The symposium offered a platform for distinguished scholars from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, India, the UK, and the US to discuss the internationalisation and quality assurance in higher education.
With the support of the University Grants Committee, Hong Kong, the Conference organised by the School of Graduate Studies gathered over 200 participants from eight countries and regions, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Ghana, Russia, the UK, Morocco, and Romania to exchange ideas and insights.

This webinar series aims to share and generate knowledge of the development in education in East Asia. Each webinar consists of three key presentations on a specific theme, Q&A and discussions.
In the context of strong collaboration, the webinar promoted a better understanding of the educational development in East Asia from an international perspective. The network among participating universities further strengthens the global partnerships to meet the agenda of SDG17.
The conference was a multidisciplinary conference co-organised by LU and the Asia Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership (APHERP), and in collaboration with University of Bath and Durham University.
Co-organised by Peking University, Lingnan University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with support from the Asia Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership and Lingnan’s Institute of Policy Studies, the Forum highlighted the importance of global partnership, especially the cooperation between different higher education institutions worldwide.
