Lingnan University confers honorary fellowships upon three distinguished individuals

Lingnan University today (8 October) held its Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony 2015, during which the University conferred honorary fellowships upon three distinguished individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements in their respective professions and valuable contributions to the well-being of society.
 
Recipients of Lingnan University’s Honorary Fellowship this year are Mr Raman Hui Shing-ngai, BBS, Mr Woo Kai-sau (Woo Fung) and Mr Thomas Jefferson Wu.  Please refer to the appendices for citations of the honorary fellows.
 

 

Mr Thomas Jefferson Wu delivered his address at the Ceremony on behalf of the honorary fellows.  While expressing his gratitude to the University and its Council for conferring the honorary fellowship, he pointed out that as the only liberal arts university in Hong Kong, Lingnan has a broad-based cross-disciplinary curriculum and encourages all Lingnanians to pursue lifelong learning.  “I fully embrace these concepts and hope to urge everybody to develop a lifelong interest on top of the foundation of lifelong learning,” said Mr Wu.
 
The ceremony, presided over by Mr Rex Auyeung Pak-kuen, Chairman of the University Council, was held at Chan Tak Tai Auditorium at the campus of Lingnan University.
