  • Work Arrangements

13 Jul 2020

In view of the surge in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong, the University has decided, starting from Wednesday 15 July 2020 and until further notice, to adopt special work arrangements for colleagues while maintaining essential services and operation of departments/offices/units.

Heads of departments/offices/units may exercise their discretion in making work arrangements according to job duties of their units as appropriate, including duty rosters for colleagues to work at office and from home, flexible or staggered working and lunch hours, as well as consideration of the personal circumstances of individual colleagues, such as those who are pregnant, with chronic illness, or living in a building with confirmed case(s).

Colleagues who work on campus are strongly advised to wear a surgical mask and observe the latest preventive measures recommended by the University’s Health, Safety and Environment Committee (please refer to the email dated 10 July issued by the Committee).

Colleagues who work from home should observe the guidelines provided by HRO and ITSC (please refer to the email issued by the Office of the President dated 4 February).

Please stay vigilant and maintain strict personal and environmental hygiene at all times, wherever you are working on campus or at home.
The University continues to monitor and assess the situation closely and will provide updates as and when necessary.
