Two LU students have been awarded Future Star Scholarships by the Hong Kong Wen Wei Po Charitable Foundation.

“This award recognises my commitment and efforts. In addition to acknowledging academic excellence, it pushes me to further dedicate myself to community service and promptme to seize every opportunity to be a better me,” said Year 3 student Anson Yu On-sang of the Department of Translation when she received her “Outstanding All-Round Award”. Final-year student Justline Chan Ngar-kiu from the Department of English received the “Exceptional Performance Award”.

The scholarships are given to outstanding and patriotic students who have academic merit, strong leadership qualities and a firm commitment to society. Students can participate in Future Star activities and visit the Mainland for deeper understanding of its rapid developments in politics and law, economy, technology, culture and sports in recent years.
