AI project by LU Computing and Decision Sciences scholars wins Gold and Special Awards at iCAN 2022

Transferring Knowledge based on Personalized Vocabulary Learning System based on Artificial Intelligence Techniques, a project by Lingnan scholars Prof Xie Haoran and Prof Wong Man-leung of the Department of Computing and Decision Sciences, Faculty of Business, together with Prof Zou Di from The Education University of Hong Kong, has won the Gold Medal and International Special Award (Turkish Inventors Association) at The 7th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN) 2022 organised by the Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS).

 

Supported by the University’s Innovation and Impact Fund, the knowledge transfer project aims to improve the personalised vocabulary learning system with AI techniques, facilitate the commercialisation and marketing of the system, and promote the integration of AI techniques and education.

 

Prof Xie and Prof Wong were listed among the world’s top 2% of the most-cited scientists by Stanford University in the US in 2021.
