Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Government Grants and Loans

For local students, your eligibility to apply for Government Grants and Loans would remain unchanged during the term on exchange as long as you pay tuition at Lingnan (as required by SEP).

For details about the eligibility, please visit the website of Student Finance Office (SFO) and the relevant section in Tertiary Student Finance Scheme - Publicly-funded Programmes: Guidance Notes available at SFO Forms & Download.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

With generous support of our donors, there are a number of scholarships and financial aid available to eligible SEP participants. Application for scholarships and financial aid opens at a specific period in March every academic year.

Scholarships are awarded to selected students with outstanding academic performance, high language proficiency, active participation in extra-curricular activities and community services. Need-based financial aid is established to provide financial assistance to needy students.

You will be invited to attend Information Session on Exchange Scholarships and Need-based Financial Aid Schemes to be held annually in February/March. For specific dates of information session and application deadline, please refer to our Latest News. To apply for both scholarships and financial aid, submission of one application will serve the purpose. OGE will assign applicants with appropriate scholarships and/or financial aid according to their financial needs and academic standing.
