7 Success in Funds Bidding
 IT use in Smart Toilet - Timely response to public health concerns
Lingnan’s Faculty of Business is glad to sign an agreement with Triple Faith Engineering & Supply Limited to collaborate on a project using AIoT in Smart Toilet under the Partnership Research Programme of the Government’s Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF).
A total of $3.3 million from ITF and the industry partner is provided for the project “Smart Toilet: An AIoT Based Predictive Maintenance Solution”, a smart solution using Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) technologies for predictive maintenance of public toilets. Led by Prof Eric SEE- TO of the Department of Computing and Decision Sciences, the project is an exemplary case of cooperation among the Government, industry, academia and research sector ( 官產學研合作 ).
    $6.9 million for Conservation of Environment
Prof Jonathan FONG of the Science Unit has been actively engaging community members and partners in the very attractive “Citizen Scientist” activities for the conservation of amphibians and reptiles through his research and knowledge transfer projects with strong funding support.
