Partnering with Next Step Connections (NEXSTEP), we have custom-made a programme for Lingnan students who wish to intern in Vietnam. Value-added components are added so that students, other than getting a practical work exposure, will be able to interact and meet professionals through visits and networking events.

Programme Highlights

  • Program Dates: 30 June – 12 August, 2023
  • Duration: 6-Weeks
  • Internship Placements: Internship placements will be 5 days a week/approximately 40 hours a week. Placements will be arranged in Ho Chi Minh City in businesses, arts, culture, startups a d social enterprises, non-profits, and for-purpose organizations working in human rights, environmental protection, education, youth development and other social organizations such as; BlueGate Consulting, Artelia, Getlinks, Enablecode, Clean Vietnam, Streets, KOTO-Know One, Teach One.Dependable Progress (DP) Lotus Impact, Protec, Saigon Children, Green Bamboo Boys Shelter (GBBS)
  • Cultural Orientation Class: Our orientation includes a half-day tour of Ho Chi Minh City where students will get to know how to use the city transportation system and visit Ho Chi Minh City landmarks. A cultural and workplace etiquette session will be arranged as well as a brief on safety procedures and code of conduct during the program. A local welcome dinner will also be arranged as part of the orientation.
  • Professional Workshops / Networking Events X 3: Develop an understanding of the benefits and challenges in the Vietnamese startup, arts and social enterprise landscape. A list of potential topics include but not limited to;
    • Measuring Social Impact
    • Developing a Fundraising Strategy
    • NFTs in Arts
    • Translating your experience into your professional and personal brand
  • Cultural Visits X 2: Experiential cultural day trips at Ho Chi Minh City’s historical sites as well as at other nearby provinces.
  • In-Country Support: All participants will have access to our office located in Ho Chi Minh City for 24/7 emergency support. This office is happy to assist students with any program questions or concerns that they might have during the internship program.

Programme Fee

The 6-week Programme fee: HK$22,900@ (HK$19,900 OSA subsidy for eligible students). The fee includes placement fee, 6-week accommodation in Vietnam, travel and health insurance and all workshops and activities as required by the Internship Programme. However, air ticket, daily living expenses and visa fee (if any) are not included in this Programme Fee.
