Dr. HU Taihua
Tai is a biotechnologist graduated from HKU, a photographer by heart and a self-proclaimed sci-fi writer when he's day-dreaming.
He is the project leader of an on-going Jockey Club "COVID-19 Emergency Fund" that he and his team are targeting to serve 1000 subdivided-flat residents to help reduce the spread of the virus (Selected media coverage: https://www.ln.edu.hk/lei/project-ultra-violite/media-coverage).
At the same time, he is passionate about bringing STEM knowledge to Lingnan and the community. During summertime, he also brings student groups to venture into the less-developed regions of the world for service trips using Design Thinking as a methodology for students to empathise and grow holistically.
In the past years, He was one of the leading staff members who spearheaded the Jockey Club "We Care, We Serve & We Learn @ Tuen Mun" Programme coordinating student-led projects for elderly in Tuen Mun that ended in Nov-2019.
He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of the School of Graduate Studies (GS) teaching courses of MA in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (SEIM) from September intake 2021.
