Ms. NG Aik Min

Min is a Project Manager at the Office of Service-Learning (OSL), Lingnan University. She is passionate in Community Development work & Innovation; and is energised by being with people from various fields and industries. An Industrial Designer by training, she finds meaning in applying the innovation process from the creation of commercial products; to solutioning for the benefit of communities. She was involved in the conceptualisation and implementation of institutional-wide Design Thinking courses in Singapore Polytechnic such as Social Innovation Project in General Education and more notably, the Learning Express Programme (LeX), a signature Service Learning Programme that has its footprint across 8 countries and 30 locations in Asia.

Her background in design has decked up her pocket of design tools in the space of training and building staff capabilities. She is actively involved in the training & certification of LeX facilitators in Asia. She has co-designed and co-facilitated design-led workshops with partners such as MIT D-Lab, Unicef (Timor Leste), Jolibee Group Foundation (Philippines), and Robert Bosch (SEA) for beneficiaries across ASEAN. She believes that the authentic “classroom” is outside the classroom and enjoys travelling to communities and learning from them.

Outside work, Min serves in the International Committee of Girl Guides Singapore (GGS). She represented GGS in international conferences such as the Helen Storrow Seminar and the Young Women’s World Forum where she was a voice of youth leaders in Asia. She was the centenary ambassador for GGS; and was conferred the Palm Leaf Award for her contributions to the World Association. She spends her weekends doing swim coaching and training in a dragon boat club team. She is often seen officiating for dragon boat races in the region. She enjoys being outdoors and has a personal checklist to “try something new every year”.
