Lingnan University's Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) was recognized as a collaborative partner at the New Territories West Cluster (NTWC)’s Volunteer Recognition Day held on Friday, December 1st, 2023. The event, organized by the NTWC, aimed to express appreciation and gratitude towards volunteers and collaborative partners who have played a significant role in promoting volunteering. Additionally, Mr. LIN Anliang, a graduate of the Master of Health Analytics and Management Programme, received the Bronze Award for Volunteer Service (50-99 hours).

The Volunteer Recognition Day focused on the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of volunteers and partners as the main themes. The NTWC Volunteer Recognition Day Organizing Committee organized a gathering and award ceremony where the awards were presented to LU's IPS and LU student.

LU has long promoted strong collaboration with the community, and the IPS has highlighted the collaboration between social, academic, and medical fields by co-organizing various events such as webinars for public education, volunteer training, and gerontechnology application and promotion. The collaborations between LU's IPS and the NTWC have been instrumental in promoting volunteering and community engagement, demonstrating the spirit of close collaboration with the local community for the betterment of society.
