President Professor Qin's Lecture at High School Affiliated to Fudan University on 1 December 2023

The High School Affiliated to Fudan University (High School) is among the first batch of"Shanghai Experimental Demonstration High Schools", a boarding senior secondary school under the dual leadership of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Fudan University. Over the years, the High School has nurtured numerous outstanding students and some of its graduates have been admitted to the Lingnan University. They truly enjoy the holistic education provided by Lingnan and have achieved remarkable success. With a view to strengthening the ties between Lingnan University and The High School, as well as to enriching students' diversified learning experiences, President Professor Qin gave a special lecture with the theme"The New Era of Data Science and AI" to the High School, attended by more than 200 students and teachers. The topics covered included the application and importance of data science, the analysis of big data through artificial intelligence, the history of Lingnan University and the features of its education. Using simple terms to explain some complicated concepts, President Qin’s lecture was very captivating for the attending Year 1 to Year 3 students, and they were inspired to think about their future career planning and the relationship between artificial intelligence and human beings. The students actively put forward questions and made use of the opportunity to share with President Professor Qin.

More than 200 students and teachers attended the lecture.
