Recent LU achievements include an enhanced ranking for a prestigious journal, and advances in the QS World University Rankings by Subject

The Journal of Asian Public Policy, edited by Prof Joshua Mok, Lingnan’s VP and the Dean of the Graduate School, has enhanced its impact factor, and it ranked 17th out of all 84 journals in its area. The Journal of Asian Public Policy is a Q1 journal, which makes it one of the most influential journals in its field.

The journal is published by Routledge & Kegan Paul/Taylor & Francis, and features research related to development, public policy and governance in Asia from comparative and international perspectives. Prof Mok serves as the Editor-in-Chief.

In another success for the University, Lingnan recently achieved remarkable results in the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. Social Policy and Administration improved its ranking by 50 places, and is now ranked 3rd in Hong Kong, 7th in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and 15th in Asia. Philosophy also moved up the rankings, advancing to the number two position in Hong Kong.

Lingnan offers a number of Social Policy and Administration programmes, including the Doctor of Policy Studies, which is a flagship programme for experiential learning. The Doctor of Policy Studies programme has flexible delivery modes and strong experiential learning elements which include field visits, academic workshops and seminars. Participants can conduct their research from an international perspective without simply relying on textbooks, journals and other publications.
