International Symposium: Re-imagining African agency in China-Africa Relations

Co-organised by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) and School of Graduate Studies (GS) at Lingnan University, the International Symposium themed “Re-imagining African agency in China-Africa Relations” was well attended on 13 and 14 May 2021. The Symposium is part of Lingnan University’s plans to expand regional studies in Asia and Africa, focusing on China’s role and activities.

The two-day Symposium gathered a group of respectful scholars and practitioners from Austria, Finland, Mainland China, Ghana, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK and the USA to share their latest research, perspectives and experiences concerning the multi-sectoral China-Africa relations. The Symposium offered an excellent learning platform for students from Lingnan University and its sister institutions in Hong Kong and abroad to interact with the renowned speakers. The IPS plans to hold similar events in the foreseeable future.
