Highlights of the 17th Seminar in the Policy and Comparative Development Studies Seminar Series

The seventeenth Policy and Comparative Development Studies Seminar Series was held on June 16, 2022. The seminar was presented by Mr. Kang Zeyu with the topic of “Examining university support measures and international students' psychological well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic”.

As a minority group, international students' psychological well-being during the pandemic needs to be concerned by researchers. This presentation conducts the topic of international students' psychological well-being from their perspectives. The international students’ psychological wellbeing condition in China during COVID-19 is affected by both various chronic and life event stress; Even the mainland China university did much efforts on their international students’ support measures for their stress alleviation, the COVID-19 mandatory measures taken by the governments and universities still result in the negative influence of international students’ psychological wellbeing.
