Prof. Dr. Iris Lorscheid is Vice-Rector Research and head of the Digital Business and Data Science Program at the University of Applied Sciences Europe in Hamburg, Germany. She holds diploma degrees in computer science and administrative science, as well as a doctorate in computer science from Hamburg University of Technology. Prof. Lorscheid is elected member of the management board of the European Social Simulation Association. She is also editorial board member of the Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation and reviewer in various established international scientific journals. As an expert in the field of agent-based simulation, Prof. Iris Lorscheid is researching how the analysis of complex adaptive systems and theory building can be successful.
