New Chinese Medicine Health Scheme to Support Postgraduate Students’ Well-being

Lingnan cares for student learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when we all face with different challenges. Under the context of"Caring amidst Distancing", the School of Graduate Studies (GS) has recently launched the C C 4 U” Campaign to promote Learning Enhancement Programmes for YOU with 4 C:

Connecting students to the international research and learning community;

Connecting students to conduct research and reach out to the local society and beyond;

Connecting students to co-developing a productive research environment and career development; and

Caring students well-being.

To enhance students’ well-being under this “new normal”, one of the initiatives of the GS is to launch a Chinese Medicine health scheme to all RPg and TPg students with the provision of accessible and cost-effective health care services at the Chinese Medicine Clinic (CMC) on campus. Highlights are as follows:

  • Eligible RPg or TPg students are entitled two rounds of Free service at LU CMC during this academic year until the end of their study period or the end of August 2021, whichever is earlier;
  • For each round of service, either Chinese medicine consultation plus maximum 3 days of herbal granules or Acupuncture would be provided;
  • Students shall present their Student ID card for each time of visit. CMC reserves the right to validate their current status from the University System; and
  • Prior registration is required and a booking request can be made at the CMC website (https://www.LN.edu.hk/cmc/our-services/e-booking-form).

For more details about the Chinese Medicine health scheme, please visit the website of LU CMC at https://www.ln.edu.hk/chs/cmc/news/health-scheme-for-postgraduate-students

Apart from offering one-stop consultation and prescriptions as well as acupuncture services to the LU community, the CMC also serves as a platform with an integration of Chinese medicine and education for our academics and students to extend their research on public health issues and to contribute to society well-being. Its services will be extended to the Tuen Mun community and the general public at a later stage.

The University will remain vigilant on all fronts to safeguard the well-being of all members of the LU community. Please make good use of this free service to address your health needs as your health and safety will continue to be our primary concern.
