To celebrate the graduation of Lingnan's Taught Master Programmes Students, the Dinner for Graduating Taught Postgraduate Student organized by Division of Graduate Studies (DGS) was held on 12 May 2016 at the Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel. More than 160 graduating students, teachers and staff joined the event and enjoyed a memorable evening.

The event started with the National Anthem and Lingnan Anthem, followed by the welcoming remark by Professor Leonard K. Cheng, President of Lingnan University. Professor Cheng congratulated all the graduating students on the completion of their studies, and wished them every success in their future endeavors. He also noted that all the graduating students will soon become our alumni and urged everyone to cherish and maintain a close bond. Professor Ka Ho Mok, Vice President of Lingnan University, then gave warm encouragement to the graduates and happily shared the past academic events held by DGS, as well as a series of planned activities for the further development of postgraduate studies."As Lingnanians, we look forward to working with you for promoting Lingnan University as a preferred institution for postgraduate studies and research training," he said.

During the dinner, three student representatives have shared their gratitude, memories, and feelings of studying at Lingnan. Having studied at Lingnan for over six years, Mr King Chun Wong from the MSc. in International Banking and Finance (MIBF) Program shared that he was glad to see the development and achievements of Lingnan's master programs. Ms Jinling Li, a Mainland student from the MSc. in Marketing and International Business Program, sincerely expressed her gratitude to the professors and staff. Mr Akinyemi Oritseweyinmi Smith from the MSc. in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour Program was grateful for the numerous teaching and learning activities which built their leadership, communication skills, business etiquette and so on.

Two student talents have put up great performance in the evening. Mr. Georgy Bozhkov from the MIBF Program sang a self-composed song and performed a dynamic dance with gymnastic moves, which impressed the audience a lot. Another performer, Ms Yulin Song from the MIBF Program, soothingly recited the poem titled"the joy of snowflake". She has won several prizes in inter-university competitions for her verse speaking and her performance that night was also excellent.

A slide show capturing students' joyful moments at Lingnan was also played during the dinner, reminiscing their wonderful memories. Students and teachers all enjoyed it very much.

Marking the end of the graduation dinner, all the graduating students and guests went to the stage and had group photos taken.
