To strengthen the connection and foster collaboration between Hong Kong and Yunnan Province in higher education, Professor Joshua Mok Ka Ho, Vice-President of Lingnan University, was invited to give a lecture to the education leaders from Yunnan province on 28 July 2017. Professor Mok shared with the delegation from Yunnan the liberal art education offered by Lingnan University and also presented the most recent education reforms in school education in Hong Kong.

Led by Ms Zhu Jinling, the Director of Education Institution Collaboration, Department of Education, Yunnan, around 15 delegates joined the training programme. During their visit to Lingnan University, Professor Mok and the delegates discussed how Lingnan University could develop more collaboration with higher education institutions in Yunnan like student exchange, providing more postgraduate studies opportunities for students from Yunnan to learn and research at Lingnan University.
