Biography of Speaker

Prof. Joseph Cheng is the Director of the MSc Finance Programme.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst with many years of teaching experience.  He has won the Teaching Excellence Award at the Academy of Finance in 2011, and an Outstanding Paper Award for his paper “A CAPM Valuation Model for Closed End Funds” in 2010.  He has published in a wide range of subjects including finance, economics, accounting, and ethics.  His research interest includes valuation, derivatives, and fixed income.  He believes that whole-person education, which is one of the missions of Lingnan University, is particularly beneficial to finance students.
