In-depth Information Literacy Workshop aims to enhance postgraduate students’ information literacy and research competence. This workshop introduces different library resources and information skills required for students to locate and organize different information resources from the Library and external information sources. By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:
- develop searching skills and techniques in order to retrieve relevant materials for your study and research effectively.
- learn advanced searching functions and strategies in LU Library discovery service: 1-Search
- search and select highly cited scholarly articles from databases like Arts and Humanities Citation Index (Web of Science), Social Sciences Citation Index (Web of Science) and Google Scholar
- use RefWorks: a bibliographic management tool to create your own personal database of citations.
