Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, education systems around the world have been affected, leading to the widespread suspension of face-to-face teaching and learning at universities, including both Mainland China and Hong Kong. Universities have been adopting online learning. This study aims to investigate how university students perceive their online learning experiences under the outbreak of the COVID-19. Specifically, the research team conducts an online survey with university students in Hong Kong and Mainland China for several key aspects of their learning experience, for example, what are students’ learning arrangements amid the outbreak of the COVID-19; what are the main challenges and advantages of their online learning; and how they evaluate their online learning experience while comparing with the traditional class-room learning. After analysing the collected data, the research team will reproduce a report about the key findings.
