With the support from the Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation, Lingnan University’s Institute of Policy Studies is collaborating with ‘A Plastic Ocean Foundation’ and ‘Lumivoce’ for a project that focuses on the intergenerational coalition for a better planet. The joint project offers interactive learning, site visits and workshops in “Science, arts, and well-being” for grandparents and their grandchildren in the New Territories to participate and further promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle to families and districts.

This year, the project focuses on the topic of “protecting biodiversity.” Participants will finish 14-hour training workshops to understand Hong Kong marine species, the techniques to build harmony between the elderlies and their grandchildren, and build compassion and love towards nature and wildlife through the arts of music and movement.

The launching event was held on 2 September 2021. Ms May Lau, Head of Family Foundation, Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation and Mr. Edison Liu from A Plastic Ocean Foundation, Professor Kar-ming Yu from Lingnan University and Dr. Ying-ying Liu from Lumivoice officiated at the ceremony and shared the vision of the project.
