Lingnan University's Graduate School and Beijing University of Technology Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences sign agreement to foster collaboration

Lingnan University intends to maintain its international status and to strengthen ties with the Mainland. The School of Graduate Studies recently reached an agreement with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Beijing University of Technology to develop a master-doctoral programme and a dual master’s degree programme in education, as well as to expand exchanges and teachers’ visits in order to cultivate talent in the Greater Bay Area.

The master-doctoral programme adopts a dual-supervisor model: each university will assign a supervisor to each student, to make sure that they receive the best instruction from the two institutions. The dual master’s programme implements a “1+1+1 model”, meaning students will study at the Beijing University of Technology in their first and third academic years, and at Lingnan for the second. They are required to earn both universities’ course credits and fulfill their requirements.

Looking forward, Lingnan School of Graduate Studies will continue to explore new models of inter-institutional cooperation to promote Lingnan's quality liberal arts education to the Mainland and the international community.
